This blog is going to be about the things I love – my family and friends, cooking, traveling, gardening, creating and enjoying life. I have been fully retired from the professional worlds of teaching, nursing and counseling since 2004 and am busier than ever! Knitting has been my main hobby for the past several years – even won a prize in the state fair of Texas for a christening dress I made for my granddaugher, Grace. Speaking of grandchildren I have five – Stella and Sophie who live in Seattle; Alex and Grace who live in Lewisville TX; and Kate who lives in LosAngeles. You will most definitely be reading about them and seeing their pics – they are a daily source of enjoyment. I live in a lovely home in Dallas TX that my DH John (nicknamed Otter) and I remodeled over the past 13 years. If you have ever remodeled anything you know full well that you are never done! So there will be blogs about our continued creative efforts here at home!

If there’s “html” content for your Calendar, would you send it to me… I’m not sure it will be Blogger compatible… But I’d love to try.

Hi Barb, I just found your blog bookmark. Bob bought me this new little apple laptop on
ebay and is just now getting everything moved over to it. You’re the one who convinced
me to write a blog so the least I can do is keep up with yours. I think you need to take a
picture of your necklace you knitted for the blog. The more I look at the book you
left me, the more cool things I see each time. Your necklace could be in the book
days with it. I’m really enjoying it.
